Exciting News, New Ventures, and A Fresh Look for the Newsletter
Dear friends,
I hope this finds you well, and that the start of this new season has brought you inspiration and energy. I’m writing today with some exciting updates, a request for your feedback, and to share my vision for the future of this space we’ve created together.
As some of you may already know, I’ve recently rebranded my website to mtfletcher.com. The reason behind this change is simple: I wanted a clearer, more direct way to present my work, books, and teaching resources. This new URL feels like a natural step forward as I solidify my online presence and make it easier for educators, readers, and collaborators to find my content.
In light of this, I’ve been reflecting on the name of this newsletter. While Inquiry Teacher has served us well, I’m considering a change. Inquiry-based learning is at the heart of much of what I do, but my work and the content I share here cover a broader range of topics—teaching strategies, book recommendations, educational resources, and a whole lot more. I want the name of this newsletter to reflect that variety, and feel more aligned with where I’m headed.
So, I’m turning to you—my loyal readers—for input. Here are a few name ideas I’ve been considering:
- Fletchucation – A playful blend of my name and education, which could serve as a broader umbrella for all the different themes we explore.
- Matt Fletcher’s Educational Insights – Simple, direct, and straightforward—focusing on personal reflections and learnings.
- Discovering Education with Matt – More casual and inviting, emphasizing the shared journey of discovery.
- Navigating Education - Following on with the theme of inquiry.
Have your own suggestion?
Of course, if none of these strike a chord with you, I’d love to hear your suggestions! You’ve been part of this community from the start, and your thoughts will help guide the next chapter of this newsletter. I would actually love to hear your names, as I am not the most creative when it comes to branding.
On top of this exciting rebranding, I’m also thrilled to share some important personal milestones. After months of hard work and dedication, I’ve completed my first two books, and they are now available!
This marks the beginning of a new chapter for me as an author, and I couldn’t be more excited to share these works with you. I’ve poured my heart into them, and I hope they’ll serve as valuable resources for educators and learners alike.
But that’s not all. I’ve recently launched a new venture called Lorthew Press an independent publishing house created to help like-minded educators bring their ideas to life. The goal of Lorthew Press is to amplify the voices of educators who have something special to offer, whether that’s through books, teaching materials, or other creative projects. If you or someone you know has a project in mind and would like to collaborate, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s make something amazing together!
And finally, I’ve set up a new email address where you can reach me: matt@mtfletcher.com. Whether you want to chat about ideas, share feedback, or connect over future projects, I’m always happy to hear from you.
Thank you, as always, for being part of this journey with me. Your support means everything—whether you’ve shared my work, read my books, or simply connected with me over a shared passion for education. There’s so much more to come, and I’m excited for what the future holds.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the newsletter name, and I can’t wait to continue this adventure with all of you!
Warmly,
Matt Fletcher
